Checklist for Getting Started
1. Get your Tenant: Provide your Microsoft Entra Tenant ID to the VDP team. Your Virtual Data Platform tenant is initially setup by our team.
2. Subscribe and Assign User Licenses (Azure Admin Rights are required)
Option 1
- Order the required VDP products via our team.
- Assign licenses to your users for your tenant in the Virtual Data Platform Portal.
Option 2
- Order the required VDP products in Microsoft AppSource.
- Manage and adjust the number of licenses in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Assign licenses to users for your tenant in the Virtual Data Platform Portal.
3. Other Prerequisites (depending on the Source Systems)
- Grant Admin Consent in Microsoft Entra ID.
- Make source system-specific configuration (see connection section).
4. Initial Configuration of VDP:
- Create a Location.
- Create an Agent for this Location.
- Download and install the Agent and its associated certificate on a Windows Server (or initially locally).
- Start and establish a connection with the Agent.
- Configure a system line and a system.
