System and System Line Configuration

This section provides all information which is relevant for the configuration of a System Line and a System of kind 'MicrosoftGraph'. It can be created and administrated in the Portal's menu System Lines.

Before connecting to Microsoft Graph, ensure the following prerequisite is met: The application must be granted consent to access https://graph.microsoft.com to enable the use of the Microsoft Graph API, allowing it to interact with Microsoft 365 services and data, such as emails, files, and user information.

System Line​

The System Line configuration is equivalent to the other kinds of System Line configurations:

  • Kind: MicrosoftGraph

  • Authentication: Enabled

  • Short Name: As usual a descriptive and identifying name

System​

The configuration for a specific MicrosoftGraph system is the same for all kind of Graph queries.

System data

  • Short Name: A descriptive and identifying name

  • Location: Assign the System to a Location (has to be created and enabled before)

  • Authentication: Azure AD OAuth2: Use Azure ActiveDirectory OAuth2 SSO for all Virtual Datasets of this System.

After providing the System data information and saving additional information is required:

Authentication Configuration

  • Scope: Specify the AzureAD Scope(s) that should be requested as semicolon-separated list (e. g. Sites.Read.All;User.ReadBasic.All).

After "Save and Enable" the System is available and can be connected by using Functions.
